BQ brand smartphones cannot be blamed for one thing - in a quiet sound. It is better not to set alarms on BQ devices at full volume, since you can wake up your neighbors, and some of them do not need to work at all. But despite the fact that most Bright Quick mobile phones are very loud, they lack one thing to be considered musical. Namely stereo.
By releasing the BQ-5707G Next Music, the manufacturer has eliminated this gap. The target audience of the company is now also music lovers. In this article, we will explain why a true music lover will not be able to get past the new items from BQ for 6,990 rubles.

Packaging and design
In terms of packaging design and packaging, Next Music is no different from other budget BQ models. The smartphone is delivered in a cardboard red-white box, inside of which, in addition to the device itself, there are:
- Power Supply (5V).
- USB cable
- Instruction and warranty card.
- 20% discount coupon when purchasing accessories in the BQ online store.
There is also a battery in a separate bag - on the Next Music model, the battery can be changed.
BQ-5707G is available in 4 colors: gray, black, red and gold. A golden smartphone came to the review, and although we were not able to see other options live, such a performance seems to be the most advantageous. The back cover is made of matte plastic, which visually cannot be distinguished from metal and which is not covered by fingerprints. A neat, shiny circle of a fingerprint sensor is located just above the logo at the back. Almost the entire front panel is occupied by a screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 . The only thing that hints at the budget status of the gadget is the significant thickness of the case (9.2 mm). But even so, it is difficult to suspect that a smartphone with such a wonderful design can cost only 6,990 rubles.
As for the location of the mechanical elements, there are no surprises. The power and volume buttons are located on the right side - while the left one is completely empty. Below is a charging connector and a microphone; above is a headphone jack.
Frankly, your humble servant had never before been able to hold a smartphone in his hands, which would have removed the back cover with a fingerprint sensor - but Next Music is just that. There is no SIM tray on the device - the cards are installed under the cover, just like a flash drive. To expand memory, you don’t have to “sacrifice” one of the sims.
Next Music could not detect any special sound enhancement technologies. In the settings you can find only the slider of the BesLoudness sound amplifier, but most BQ devices are equipped with this “improver”.
The new smartphone is called musical because it has 2 speakers. Both are located in front - one closer to the top edge, the second - to the bottom. Due to the pair of speakers stereo sound is provided.
The sound is really powerful and clear enough - you can’t find fault with it. The manufacturer did not deceive, because the smartphone roars like a wounded beast, even when the " BesLoudness " function is turned off. But it’s somewhat disappointing that we didn’t find an equalizer on the device, just like on the Space X model. Apparently, the equalizer is a “chip” of the BQ firmware, which Next Music, unfortunately, is deprived of.
The 5.7-inch Next Music HD screen probably corresponds to the status of the device itself - that is, an average level. Image quality remains pretty high until you go outside in sunny weather. Then the display already “fades”, and even at maximum brightness you have to cover it with your hand to read the text or make out the picture.
Alas, the musical B-Kew does not support the MiraVision technology that we liked so much. On previous smartphones of the company, it allowed adjusting the contrast, color temperature and other parameters of the image on the screen.
It is commendable that the manufacturer, focusing on the musical component of the device, did not forget about other functions. The main 8-megapixel camera with interpolation up to 13 megapixels does not make photo masterpieces, but takes good enough so that the photo was not embarrassing to put on a general court on Instagram.
The front camera resolution is more modest - 5 megapixels with interpolation up to 8 megapixels. But the selfie camera has a flash, which is a wild rarity for the budget segment. You can make "yourself" using a fingerprint as the shutter button. This is very convenient - you don’t have to rack your brains over how to contrive so that your finger does not get into the frame.
Performance and Software
Next Music is the first of BQ's smartphones running Android 8.1 Oreo, which is why we were waiting for the opportunity to test it so eagerly. The shell of the 8th Android from Yandex did not disappoint, but it was not particularly surprising. Unlike, for example, from Space X (which has a proprietary shell), Next Music has a menu, as well as a control center accessible by one swipe.
It seemed strange that in the settings, the same function can be reached in several different ways. For example, “ Adaptive Brightness ” is available immediately in 2 sections: “ Battery ” and “ Screen ”. Deficiency or, on the contrary, convenience?
The “heart” of the device is a 4-core processor from MediaTek with a clock frequency of 1.3 GHz. Not to say that the top solution, but by no means the worst of what the modern market offers. The smartphone pulls 3D games (for example, World Of Tanks) - albeit not on the maximum schedule. Simpler tasks — for example, playing an HD video or launching a 2D arcade — it clicks like seeds.
Next Music has a bit of internal memory - 16 GB. But let's not forget that the smartphone is primarily musical - this amount is enough for at least a few extensive discographies. If the memory is still small, you can put a microSD flash card with a capacity of up to 64 GB.
One of the main advantages of Android 8.1 is energy efficiency. It’s easy to believe that Oreo devices live longer. How else to explain why our Next Music with a battery capacity of only 2800 mAh with moderate use calmly withstood the day?
At 40% of the charge, the smartphone predicts 4 days of battery life - although here we are probably talking about standby time. In this mode, the gadget really does not lose much energy. If the device is on a shelf, about 5-7% is spent per day.
The BQ-5707G Next Music is a phone player for the price of a regular player. The gadget is great not only for listening to music in speakers, but also for watching movies and atmospheric videos. An important advantage of the device is the fresh Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, thanks to which the gadget is able to work for a long time without recharging, even with a modest battery on board.
