How to find out the model through the settings

If you purchased the device “by hand” or want to verify the authenticity of a smartphone purchased in an online store, then the easiest way to find out the model is through the settings.

To do this, go to "Settings" and find the "About phone" section . We need the lines “Model” or “Model Name” . Other important technical characteristics (for example, the version of the operating system) will also be indicated here.

Depending on the features of the device and the firmware version, the device model can be specified in different ways. For example, it may be the official trade name of a smartphone or a code consisting of different letters and numbers.

Via gmail . During authorization in your Google account from a new device, a Gmail security alert is sent to your mail. It indicates the model of the device from which the input was made. This is convenient if you need to remember the brand of the phone, which is no longer with you (for example, lost).

Through the computer . By default, the Android device model is indicated when the smartphone is connected to the computer via USB. This method is convenient in that it allows you to find out the characteristics of even a switched off or idle phone (for example, with a broken screen).

If you have a device with a removable battery, then the model number and brand will be indicated either on it or under it (on the smartphone itself). In this case, the information can be encrypted into code. Find out the trade name through a search engine.
